3RD ANNUAL DDC VENISON CHILI COOK OFF
The Dixie Deer Classic is proud to host its third venison chili cook off on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5, 2023! The venison chili cook off is being conducted in partnership with The Butcher’s Market, Carolina Cooker & the International Chili Society to finally name an official venison chili champion!
Sponsored by the Wake County Wildlife Club, proceeds from the cook off will benefit Hunters for the Hungry, 4-H, NC State undergraduate and graduate scholarships, and more.
There Dixie Deer Classic will hold a two cook offs featuring:
TRADITIONAL RED CHILI
First Place: $125 & Plaque
Second Place: $100 & Plaque
Third Place: $75 & Plaque
First Place: $500 & Plaque
Second Place: $300 & Plaque
Third Place: $200 & Plaque
The Dixie Deer Classic Chili Cook Offs are SANCTIONED and CERTIFIED events where winners qualify to the World Championship Chili Cook Off. ICS registration is required and can be done so at chilicookoff.com. ICS membership is required of ALL contestants. All ICS rules have been approved by the Wake County Health and Human Services Rules and Regulations.
The Dixie Deer Classic Chili Cook Offs are official International Chili Society-sanctioned events and cooks will abide by all ICS, as well as Wake County Health and Human Services, rules and regulations.
