North Carolina State and Southeastern Open Call Makers

The 3rd Annual North Carolina/Southeastern Call maker’s competition will again be held at the DDC March 2th, 3th and 4th. Last year the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail was outstanding. We are looking for more of the same this year from some of the most talented call makers in the country.

After the judging, there will be opportunities to purchase these calls on one of our silent auctions. Other call entries will be placed on E-Bay where everyone will have a chance to bid.

2012 NC NWTF Dixie Deer Classic Calling Contest

NC State Chapter NWTF is proud to announce the detail for this year’s calling contest. We will be hosting the annual event in conjunction with the Dixie Deer Classic to be held, Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC. It doesn’t matter if you’re a participant or a spectator; you are sure to walk away with a new tip or technique to enhance your calling ability.

The NC NWTF Dixie Deer Classic Calling Contest will host NINE different contests.

• Natural Voice: All ages - entry fee: $25
• Poults: age 9 and under - entry fee: Free
• Jakes: ages 10 -15 - entry fee: $10
• Intermediate: ages 16-20 -entry fee: $25
• Friction: age 21 and older - entry fee: $50
• Tarheel Resident: age 21 and older - entry fee: $50
• Tarheel Open: age 21 and older - entry fee: $50
• Owl Hooting: All ages - entry fee: $25
• Gobbling: All ages - entry fee: $25

Prizes will be awarded for three places in all contest divisions and will include combinations cash, and/or prizes.

We are offering a 10% discount on entry fees for pre-registration prior to February 24, 2012. Also, pre-registered participants will also have a pass waiting at the gate for entry into the Dixie Deer Classic.

2012 NC-NWTF State Awards Banquet

Guest Speakers: Mitchell Johnston, Mike Pentecost, Scott Ellis and Steve Cobb

The North Carolina Chapter of the NWTF State Awards Banquet will be held on Friday March 2th, 2012 at the Kerr Scott building on the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. We hope you will join us to recognize all the hard work done by NWTF members and chapters in our state.

Adults are $35 each in advance $50 at the door.
Couples are $60 in advance and $70 at the door.
Kids 15 and under are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
